Police arrests 4 persons in the anti-lynas peaceful assembly in Kuantan just now. Those who were being arrested by the police are DAPSY Kuantan chief Lee Chin Chen, Dapsy Bentong chief Chow Yu Hui, Khor Hui Ying and Thing Siew Shuen!
The 'Stop Rare Earth' activists Chow Yu Hui and Lee Chin Chen are being handcuffed!!
Thing Siew Shuen on her tweet: I dun understand why they (the police) need to do this to us? This is just a peaceful demonstration! We dun hv C4!

The following are their stories:- 处理事务上，面对要求高的老板，助理们都已经应付自如，左起为曾焕源、张念群和曾繁道。 报导：邓倩惠 摄影：依哲 助理是每位国州议员不能欠缺的助手之一，他们为议员减轻负担处理地方民生问题或其他事项，让议员更专注打理或为选民争取其他事项或福利。 沙登区国会议员张念群特别助理曾焕源和曾繁道，在张念群于2008年全国大选中选后，便任其特别助理一职。 曾焕源为张念群处理选区拨款事宜，并出任服务中心主任一职，而曾繁道处理张念群行程，同时协助解决当地民生投诉，3年来，3人合作无间，尽力为沙登选民服务。 谈起如何成为张念群助理时，曾焕源说，当时还是皇冠城封路事件委员会的委员之一，也在当时认识该名国会议员，看见她为当地居民积极争取，态度也非常亲切。 他指出，随后，经过一名友人的介绍，指张念群需要一名助理，过后也答应友人出任助理一职，甚至加入行动党。 “其中，出任助理一职原因即不满国阵政府一些政策，认为必须付诸行动争取一些事情，所以也加入该党。” (More......) |

The error of Utusan Malaysia is far more dangerous and insidious. Yet, Utusan Malaysia was let off with merely a warning from the Ministry. Why has no stern action been taken against the chief editor and the journalist who wrote the article?

Posted: 14 May 2011 02:36 AM PDT By Teo Nie Ching DAP unreservedly condemns the despicable threat to kidnap the three-year-old daughter of PKR vice-president and MP for Lembah Pantai, Nurul Izzah Anwar. The reasons behind the text message is no doubt politically-motivated and the sender has demonstrated his incapacity to discuss contentious issues in a calm, civil and rational manner. The threat to kidnap a three-year-old girl and insinuate that the child will end up sharing the same fate as another kidnap victim Sharlinie Mohd Nashar is no better than the actions of a terrorist threatening to kill innocent people. Sharlinie, 5, was abducted in 2008 at a playground near her house in Petaling Jaya and remains missing until today. This tragic case has broken the hearts of many Malaysians. It is hard for us to imagine that there are human beings out there who lack such basic human decency and are capable of carrying out such a terrible and brutal acts. The tragic kidnapping of Sharlinie is a slap in the face of the police force, as until today, the police still do not have any leads to the case. The police must do all they can to investigate the threat note sent to Nurul Izzah, as it is the latest in a long string of cases and situations in which Opposition politicians have been threatened and intimidated.
