UMNO tuduh PAS AJARAN SESAT: PAS ambil tindakan!

Aziz Muda , 15 Feb 2012

Affordable healthcare has come to town!

Posted: 15 Feb 2012 10:26 AM PST

Tired of waiting for the Barisan Nasional Federal Government to build us a government clinic in Subang Jaya? Don't worry - thanks to Klinik Waqaf An-Nur in USJ 9 now provides good affordable healthcare services for only RM5!

At the press conference together with representatives from Masjid Al-Falah and KPJ Healthcare

Presenting a cheque of RM17,000 [RM7,000 from my 2011 state allocation and another RM10,000 from my 2012 allocation] to help fund the running of Klinik Waqaf An-Nur.

I will continue to speak up for the people of DUN Subang Jaya and will continuously demand from the Health Ministry to give us our very own government clinic. Subang Jaya residents pay a lot of taxes to the Federal Government and it is time for them to fulfill their pledges. Back in 2007, it has already been announced that RM8 Million had been allocated under the Ninth Malaysia Plan for a government clinic in Subang Jaya. Click here to read the old article. MPSJ has since then allocated a plot of land in Jalan USJ 1/33 for the Health Ministry for this purpose.

Article from SJ Echo

SUBANG JAYA: The days of hefty and expensive health care bills for the poor living in Subang Jaya are over.

A joint effort by the private health care sector and Masjid Al-Falah in USJ9 will be setting up a community clinic to see to the needs of the poor in this neighbourhood, ADUN Subang Jaya Hannah Yeoh said.

"A joint partnership between KPJ healthcare group and Masjid Al-Falah has been formed to establish a community clinic at their premises in USJ9."

"We do not have a government clinic in Subang Jaya at this point. We are still asking for this from the Health Ministry but since we do not have one, I am so glad that the private sector has come forward to help," she said.

Hannah said the clinic is now serving the community twice a week, on Tuesdays and Thursdays from a cabin put up at the mosque in USJ9.

"It is open for all races who are poor and cannot afford hefty bills in private healthcare. They charge only RM5 per consultation."

"Please make full use of this facility but don't abuse it. If you can afford to go to private clinics, please go to private clinics and let the deserving people benefit from this new facility we have for them," Hannah added.

A new building will be constructed to house this clinic at the mosque compound by June this year to properly serve even kidney failure patients with dialysis machines at their disposal.

Posted: 15 Feb 2012 08:24 PM PST

Najib’s Openness And Tolerance Is Fictitious

Posted: 15 Feb 2012 04:23 PM PST

~ Media Statement by Teo Nie Ching in Petaling Jaya on Tuesday, 15th February, 2012:

Participating in Johor Baru Ancient Temple Chingay parade but taking action against Muslims celebrating Valentine's Day, Najib's openness and tolerance is fictitious

Last Sunday night (February 12, 2012), the Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib attended Johor Baru Ancient Temple Chingay parade with much publicity, bringing along an impressive entourage comprising his wife Rosmah, Home Minister Hishammuddin, Johor Menteri Besar Abdul Ghani and his wife Jamilah, MCA President Chua Soi Lek, Tourism Minister Ng Yan Yan and the President of Federation of Chinese Association of Malaysia (Huazong).

8TV Evening News reported that after witnessing the religious procession which was celebrated by all races, the Prime Minister commented that the temple procession in Johor Bharu was the best example of people of various races and religions could live in harmony and peace.

Najib pointed out that apart from showing the mutual tolerance of various races, the parade also exhibited the 1Malaysia spirit and crossed inter-racial boundaries.

If participation by Muslims such as Datuk Seri Najib and his wife Rosmah, Hishammuddin, Abdul Ghani and his wife Jamilah, can be viewed as "living up to the spirit of 1Malaysia", why the minister in Prime Minister Department Jamil Khir Baharom urge Islamic authorities in all states to take necessary actions against Muslim couples celebrating on the eve of or on Valentine's Day merely because of Valentine's Day is not a Muslim festival?

On one hand, Najib and his entourage participated in Johor Baru Ancient Temple Chingay parade with much fanfare and publicity, on the other hand his minister urge all religious authorities to take action against Muslim couples on Valentine's Day. This undoubtedly exposes Najib's purported openness and tolerance as complete fake!

Valentine's Day is not any religious or racial festival but merely a joyous day that belongs to lovers, married couples and friends. Even the nation with the most Muslims in the world, Indonesia, allows freedom to celebrate Valentine's Day. Jamil does not need to raise such much fuss and mobilize Islamic authorities of the whole country to take action against Muslims who celebrate Valentine's Day.

I would also suggest the MCA who is organizing a candle light vigil entitled "We Want Valentine's Day" at MCA HQ on Valentine's Day to invite Jamil to attend the event, and properly educate him on the true meaning of Valentine's Day.

Global Sugar Prices Down, But Subsidies Up?

Posted: 15 Feb 2012 05:02 PM PST

The Minister of Domestic Trade, Consumerism and Cooperatives, Datuk Ismail Sabri has announced earlier this month that the Government has entered into a 3-year contract to import raw sugar for US$26 per 100 pound signed in January 2012.

As a result he has announced that the Government had to increase the subsidies for sugar sold in the country from 20 sen to 54 sen per kilogramme. According to the Minister, the increase in subsidies to was due to "skyrocketing" global prices.  Consequently, the government would now have to pay RM567 million for sugar subsidy this year compared to RM262.4 million last year.

The question that needs to be asked however, is why did the Government sign a 3 year contract to purchase sugar at US$26 per 100lbs when the last traded price of sugar as at December 2011 was on US$23.42 per 100lbs or a significant 10% below the Government's purchase price?

Based on the fact that Malaysia imports approximately 1.24 million tonnes or 2.73 billion pounds of sugar per annum, Malaysia would have overpaid by RM64 million.

What is of greater concern is that the Government is locking in the purchase of sugar at high prices when the global sugar prices have been trending downwards.  After hitting a peak of US$29.47 per hundred pounds in July 2011, the price of sugar has fallen consistently every month – US$28.88 (August), US$26.64 (September), US$26.30 (October), US$24.52 (November) to US$23.42 (December) per 100lbs.

In fact, a February 5th Bloomberg report cited Macquarie Group Ltd as claiming "sugar prices may fall to as low as 18 cents a pound this year as a forecast surplus for the 2011-12 season becomes available".

The report further added that "sugar supplies are set to outpace demand by 9 million metric tons in the 2011-12 season that began in October, according to trader Olam International Ltd. The estimated surplus has started to reach the market and will increase throughout the year, said Carlos Murilo Barros de Mello, managing director at Macquarie Brasil Participacoes Ltda."

If sugar prices does indeed hit US$18 per 100lbs, then Malaysia stands to lose approximately RM491 million per annum. Instead of having to increase subsidies, Malaysia could have further reduced sugar subsidies without having to increase the price of refined sugar.

Datuk Ismail Sabri must explain how the US$26 per 100lbs transaction is arrived at.  The Minister had arrogantly said "let me remind you that the government is smart" when announcing that the Government had entered into the long-term contract.  It is now looking like the Government is being completely foolish in its attempt to be smart and it's costing the tax-payers hundreds of millions of ringgit more than necessary.

The Minister must also explain why is it that it is the Government who has to commit and pay for raw sugar import when it should be the Malaysian sugar duopoly – Malaysian Sugar Manufacturing Bhd and Tradewinds Bhd which should importing the raw sugar at the lowest possible prices.  Shouldn't these companies be forced to compete and not be sheltered by the Government from market risks?

Why Have The MACC And Police Not Taken Any Action When The Law Minister Himself Has Said That The RM250 Million NFC Cows And Condos Scandal Is Tantamount To Constructive Breach Of Trust ?(en/cn)

Posted: 15 Feb 2012 12:57 AM PST

The RM250 million NFC Cows For Condos scandal reached a new sensational level with Minister in Prime Minister's Department and de facto Law Minister Datuk Seri Nazri Aziz said that the National Feedlot Corporation (NFCorp) has breached its loan conditions with the Federal Government. Nazri was reported to have said: "In a way, there has been a constructive breach of trust. The money, which was meant for the cattle industry, was used for something else. The money was specifically given out based on a project given to NFCorp, that it could raise cattle and sell (it) at a cheaper price."

In other words, we have a damning indictment by the Law Minister himself that the RM 250 million loan used to pay for Shahrizat and her family's personal expenses, purchase of two luxury condominium units in Bangsar, Kuala Lumpur is a criminal breach of trust. Malaysians want to know why has neither the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) nor the police taken any action on those responsible in the RM250million NFC fiasco?

On 22 December 2011, the MACC announced that a special team headed by MACC investigating director Datuk Mustafar Ali has been formed to investigate claims of misappropriation in the NFC issue. A month later, Parliament's Public Accounts Committee (PAC) chairman Azmi Khalid stated that they will wait for the police and the MACC to complete their investigations before deciding if it should continue with its own probe.

One week ago, Federal Commercial Crimes director Syed Ismail Syed Azizan said that the police was nearly done with their investigations and would be re-submitting their investigation papers to the Attorney-General. This will in fact be their second submission as the Attorney-General had returned their initial findings on January 17 and requested for further investigations.

In other words, there has been a merry-go-round of investigations and shifting of responsibilities but not a single mode of action has been taken! Law Minister Nazri Aziz has made it clear that NFCorp has breached its loan conditions and committed constructive breach of trust by utilising public funds from a RM250million government loan to purchase luxury condominiums worth millions in Bangsar, Kuala Lumpur. There are now numerous allegations that other luxury condominiums have been bought overseas as well.

In developed countries committed to fighting corruption, failure to hold an open tender is tantamount to a corrupt act. Already the failure to hold an open tender for the NFC has even been highlighted by Datuk Seri Nazri Aziz. Malaysians now demand to know who is sleeping on the job and why MACC and the police have not acted against those responsible when the Law Minister Nazri Aziz himself has said that the RM250 million NFC cows and condos scandal is tantamount to constructive breach of trust.

Selangor Jamin Tidak Berlaku Krisis Air 2014

Posted: 15 Feb 2012 01:00 AM PST

PR Kemuka Cadangan Konsep 'Rumah Sewa Hingga Milik Tanpa Faedah'

Posted: 15 Feb 2012 12:30 AM PST

i) Cadangan Kerajaan untuk skim pinjaman tajaan KWSP pada kadar faedah 6.5 peratus;
iii) Skim Sewa Hingga Milik - Tanpa Faedah.

YB,

Kudos for your untiring effort in raising this endless dispute with regards our national carrier future. We are with you in not trusting that the pariah will turn around the bleeding national carrier.

Please note that as a result of the sudden suspension of Firefly (whose fully booked flights prior to Hari Raya was cancelled by the goons in MAS) their 2 B737-400 aircraft that was operating out of Johor Bharu can be seen parked at KLIA until today. The lease charges for the aircraft comes to the tune of RM8 million per year and MAS is still happy with the decision.

If this decision is not bad enough, danny fernandes is following the advise of the fantastic advise of their consultant to engage Ishal Kutty to revamp its revenue management. Can you imagine, a person who only does pricing in Emirates is now assign to do revenue management which is a totally different cattle of fish. This under qualified guy is paid a million a year plus other perks to take the job that he is only half qualified. Cant the person responsible for this recruitment be sacked himself. Even AJ passed remarks that this guy is not up to the mark and had asked other staff in the department to backup this kutty’s incompetence.

From what I had gathered, during a senior management retreat held at the Marriot Putrajaya, danny fernandes had also informed the team of MAS new logo for rebranding where the red of the WAU logo is to be replaced with light blue color (maybe red is patented for AA only). Someone from the team commented that the light blue is similar to PKR color. Danny fernandes respond was, “thats good coz we need to prepare for the future”. Did BN government realise who they have appointed to be MAS? Is danny fernandes a government nominee or the opposition. Can somebody out there tell us the answer?

Comment on Now Everyone in AirAsia can join MAS by Atticus

Corrupted Union leaders
Razak of Mas
Hazman of Mas

So you think the Unions are ‘sleeping’? I beg to differ. I think it is you guys who are sleeping and lost to the reality of what is happening. You still have your jobs today because TF and gang cannot just cut MAS up into little pieces and sell the pieces off for cash for the one and only reason, which is, MAS is unionised. Without the Unions, the lot of you will either be jobless or almost jobless by now, with compensation of just 3 month’s salary at the most.
So, what does TF and gang try to do? Simple, form a new company for Short haul, you must resign from MAS if you want to join Shorthaul, with new terms and conditions. So, no more union to protect you, no rights, no seniority (in case they want to retrench you later, they pay you peanuts). And they will form a new subsidiary for Airport Operations and Ground Handling, same modus operandi. Engineering is one division TF and gang (this includes Danny Rashdan) would love to sell off, there are ready buyers, but the only thing stopping this plan for now is the Union factor. Which is why the Unions have been advising everybody, do NOT sign anything or accept any “offer” without checking with them first. And which is also why TF and gang are trying at all costs to bust the Unions.
So, if you think the Unions are sleeping, what do you suggest they should do now? Go for a picket or a strike? Isn’t that stupid, like shooting yourself in the
foot? MAS grinds to a halt, who will laugh all the way to the bank? MAS is not the enemy, AA/AAX is. So, if you want action, then the action should be anything and everything that should not give them any advantage. Faham?
If you are from Engineering, guess where AA will be sending their 10-year old aircraft for HMVs? Right. And so, if you are in Engineering, are you going to work your butt off to get those aircraft going? Sure, they parachute in an AA man to head Engineering. So what? He cannot do anything IF the staff do not want to do it. Faham? Or, you should all look around you, observe what is happening, gather relevant information and pass it to the Unions, so this can be used to help all of you. Instead of sitting around and griping and complaining and pointing fingers at everybody else. Faham?
So, instead of criticising and cursing the Unions, why don’t you contribute some constructive ideas? Or, like I said in another posting, why don’t you step up and offer yourself to head the Union?

Atticus

do agreed with u. not many staff know that union exco stay until 4 am (this is not typo error) for few nites just to prepared presentation to PM, where union rep met him yesterday. the main objective is to give PM the senario of what happening in MAS now. while no firm decision been made, PM himself promise to look into this “drama tamil”…

this is the only way to resolve these issue by “wahyu” from the “top”. without divine intervention, we as mere human being is helpless…

so, those who curse union exco, maybe u all should get to know ur rep better or do regular TT session with ur rep…

YB,

pls give PM all the info that u have, even u already given to him last time. all this time, he only look MAS from these 3 stooges “eye” and after the “meeting” with u, he realise that is not as “green” as other party try to impress upon him.

if all the MP in Malaysia are “caring” & “concern” like u, Insyaallah, Malaysia will become no 1 country in the world….

cheers…..

Razak dari Mas
Jala
YB Wee

If the all the MAS Unions are on sleeping pills as alleged, let me tell you this :
MAS would already by now be sliced up and sold off in bits and peices, and
all of you, workers like Razak and Jala, who only know how to criticise without giving any constructive inputs ,will all by now be already on the streets, jobless, probably given only 3 months pay as compensation!
Trust me, the only reason why the ungrateful staff like you are still getting their salaries today is because MAS is unionised. If you happen to be from Engineering, let me tell you that it is because of the Unions that TF and gang
cannot move to sell off all of you as they please.
So I suggest instead of cursing and spitting at the Unions, just ask yourself, what have you done to assist your Union to fight this battle? Or maybe, if you think you can do better, why don’t you offer yourself to lead the Unions? If you can guarantee that you have access to the PM’s office or to whoever can make a difference, and ‘powerful’ enough to make demands, then , and only then , you can be in a position to criticise and curse. So, are you?

That bloody crony Rashdan still dare to remain in as Deputy CEO of MAS. A failed consultant that was abled to sell his BinaFikir for RM8 million to Maybank. Maybank must be damn stupid or the crony Rashdan was too clever. Or there was a hidden hand in Khazanah that helped him to dispose BinFikir for RM8 million.

This bloody tak malu crony and to the red indian should be cursed for generation. I am sure that he will have to pay what what he had done to MAS 18,000 employees.

Let Allah deals with people like Rashdan, Azman Mokhtar and the red indian. We shall see how long can they last.

Just take a kit-kat-break……..

Public and private corporations must sign the integrity pledge as an expression of commitment that their business transactions are corruption-free.

Malaysian Institute of Integrity president Datuk Dr Mohd Tap Salleh said the move would be the institute’s main focus this year following a surge in economic crime i and outside the country.

“The PricewaterhouseCoopers Global Economic Crime Survey shows 30 per cent economic crime happened in 2009 and rose to 34 per cent last year,” he told the National Procurement Forum for the Public and Private Sectors 2012 today.

Mohd Tap said Malaysia registered 44 per cent economic crimes last year as compared to only 28 per cent in 2009.

He said Malaysia suffered billions of ringgit in losses from commercial crime like fraud, breach of trust, cyber crime and forgery.

“It clearly shows fraud is pervasive and persistent everywhere. Controls alone are not enough, but strong ethical culture is needed,” he told the 400-odd forum participants.

Mohd Tap said the pledge was “hatched” in collaboration with the Malaysian Institute of Integrity and National Key Result Area Corruption Monitoring and Coordination Division established last year.

Meanwhile, the Malaysian Institute of Corporate Governance president Tan Sri Megat Najmuddin Megat Khas said government and private enterprises may resort to “good weapons” to curb power abuse through integrity pacts in business and contract documentations.

“This can be a powerful tool to rid power abuse and corruption as any breach of provisions will lead to contract termination,” he added. — Bernama
