A victim of Hit & Run, Mr. Amos of Sg. Jelok, Kajang

 A victim of a hit & run accident, Mr. Amos a/l Lawrence (lying on the bed), has been in coma since the accident on Christmas day last year but has since woke up. Unfortunately, he is no longer able to recognise anybody beside him. He can’t talk or know how to eat. Milk is the only source of food for him to survive. Till today no one was caught responsible for his suffering. More even so for his parents who have to take care of him. Mr. Amos is just 25 years old this year. A bright gentleman’s future has been robbed away by whoever responsible for his injury. He received 8 stitches at his forehead but this injury has left him a great suffering.

YB Teo Nie Ching had personally paid a visit to his house on the 7th April 2012 & handed over a cheque of RM500 to lessen their burden. YB Teo hopes that Mr. Amos will recover soonest possible.

Here is the medical report:

“This is a 25 years old Indian gentleman with no known medical illness, patient was referred from HUKM on 13th Feb 2012 for nursing care with diagnosis of alleged MVA(Motorbike vs Lorry) with sustained diffuse axonal injury.

Patient had MVA on 25th Dec 2011 at Kajang Toll area around 9am. Mechanism of injury was not known and not stated in any referral letter. Initially patient was admitted to Hospital Serdang ED. External fixator was inserted over patient’s upper jaw due to dento-alveolar fracture.

Then on 13th Jan 2012, patient was transferred to HUKM for another neurosurgical opinion. Ct scan of the brain was done on the day of arrival and reported as subdural effusion with no ICB or hydrocephalus or midline shift. Tracheostomy tube was changed to Shilly’s double lumen trachy tube on 11th Jan 2012.
