[Malaysiakini] Pakatan vows to keep Bersih momentum alive Posted: 19 Jul 2011 09:31 AM PDT ~ S Pathmawathy The Pakatan Rakyat leadership has pledged to keep the momentum of the Bersih 2.0 rally going by taking the initiative in pushing for electoral reform to the rural constituencies. "We are aware that Bersih's impact was limited to the urban areas and today, it was proposed that we maintain the impetus by going to the rural areas to tell them what Bersih is all about," DAP's assistant national publicity secretary Teo Nie Ching (left) said. This was among the top agenda items discussed at Pakatan's leadership retreat held in Petaling Jaya today to amass support for the 13th general election, which must be held in 2013. The day-long retreat was held to, among others, synergise media relations among the three coalition partners, PAS, PKR and DAP. (More......)

[Malaysiakini] Pakatan ikrar teruskan pertubuhan BERSIH Posted: 19 Jul 2011 09:18 AM PDT ~ S Pathmawathy Pemimpin Pakatan Rakyat berikrar meneruskan momentum perhimpunan BERSIH 2.0 dengan mengambil inisiatif desakan pembaharuan sistem pilihan raya yang dituntut pertubuhan itu disebarkan kepada penduduk luar bandar. "Kami sedar impak BERSIH hanya terhad di kawasan bandar dan hari ini dicadangkan kita menyebarkan dorongan itu ke luar bandar dan memberitahu rakyat mengenai BERSIH,” kata penolong setiausaha publisiti DAP Teo Nie Ching. Perkara itu antara agenda utama yang dibincangkan pada mesyuarat khas pemimpin Pakatan di Petaling Jaya hari ini bagi meninjau sokongan orang ramai menjelang pilihan raya umum yang bakal diadakan sebelum pertengahan 2013. Mesyuarat tiga hari itu, antra lain bertujuan mensinergi perhubungan media antara tiga gabungan parti berkenaan, PAS, PKR dan DAP. (More......)
