Cuepacs president Datuk Omar Osman should behave like a Ceupacs President for all and not participate in Utusan Malaysia or UMNO's racist acts. Clearly Datuk Omar forgets that there are Malay civil servants who are not racists and that there are non-Malays serving civil servants too. Datuk Omar had joined Utusan Malaysia in calling for a similar boycott of Air Asia and Air Asia X, stating that the power of 1.4 million civil servants can give an impact on AirAsia, especially in the school holidays. Ceupacs is gravely mistaken to join Utusan Malaysia's boycott of Air Asia and Air Asia X, as Ceupacs should not be a racist organisation but serve all Malaysian civil servants regardless of race and religion. Datuk Omar's boast of using Ceupacs power is an empty boast because he could not deliver the votes of 1.4 million civil servants to BN in the recent general elections causing BN to be a minority party in gaining only 47% of the popular vote and losing to PR's 51%. Utusan had targeted both companies after AirAsia X chief executive officer had condemned Utusan Malaysia for its racially provocative headline targeting the Chinese following the May 5 polls that BN lost. Irresponsible actions by these racist organistions have made Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak's call for national reconciliation or 1Malaysia another empty promise. Such racist acts by Utusan Malaysia follows a campaign by BN supporters to boycott consumer products by Chinese businesses to punish the Chinese community for supporting PR. Such a racist campaign to blame the Chinese as scapegoats is to hide the fact that BN lost Malay support causing PR to win the popular vote at 51%. In Peninsular Malaysia, where there are more Malay voters, PR's popular vote is higher at 53%. The Penang state government urges the new Minister of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Datuk Hasan Malek not to defend such product boycotts based on race but instead act against these racist organisations. The Malay and Chinese Chambers of Commerce had said the federal government needs to step in immediately to arrest the campaign they separately described as "unhealthy, childish and racist" from gaining ground as it will affect economic growth. These racist organisations have done enough damage not only to national unity and Malaysia's image. By allowing such racist boycott of products to continue, Malaysia will be seen as no different from other racist regimes like South Africa apartheid regime but may also negatively impact our economy. Jelas sekali bahawa Datuk Omar telah terlupa bahawa ada penjawat awam Melayu yang tidak rasis dan ada juga warga bukan Melayu di dalam perkhidmatan awam. Datuk Omar telah menyertai Utusan Malaysia dalam menyeru supaya Air Asia dan Air Asia X diboikot, dengan menyatakan bahawa kuasa 1.4 juta penjawat awam boleh memberi kesan terhadap Air Asia, terutamanya di musim cuti sekolah. Cuepacs sangat-sangat salah apabila ia menyertai usaha boikot Utusan Malaysia terhadap Air Asia dan Air Asia X kerana Cuepacs tidak sepatutnya menjadi pertubuhan yang bersifat perkauman tetapi berkhidmat kepada semua penjawat awam di Malaysia tanpa mengira kaum dan agama. Kenyataan bongkak Datuk Omar untuk menggunakan kuasa Cuepacs hanyalah lagak yang kosong kerana beliau tidak pun mampu memastikan undi 1.4 juta penjawat awam kepada BN dalam pilihan raya umum yang lalu, menyebabkan BN menjadi parti minoriti yang meraih hanya 47% undi popular, tewas kepada 51% undi popular Pakatan Rakyat. Utusan telah menjadikan kedua-dua syarikat tersebut sasaran, selepas Ketua Pegawai Eksekutif Air Asia X mengutuk Utusan Malaysia kerana tajuk berita yang menimbulkan provokasi perkauman yang menyasarkan masyarakat Cina berikutan kekalahan BN dalam PRU ke 13 5 Mei lalu. Tindakan tidak bertanggungjawab oleh pertubuhan perkauman ini telah menjadikan seruan Perdana Menteri Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak ke arah rekonsiliasi nasional dan 1Malaysia sekadar satu janji kosong. Tindakan perkauman oleh Utusan Malaysia mengikut jejak kempen penyokong BN untuk memboikot produk pengguna perniagaan masyarakat Cina bagi menghukum komuniti tersebut kerana menyokong Pakatan Rakyat. Kempen perkauman sedemikian untuk menyalahkan masyarakat Cina dan menjadikan mereka kambing hitam bertujuan menyembunyikan hakikat bahawa BN kehilangan sokongan orang Melayu yang menyebabkan Pakatan Rakyat menang undi popular sebanyak 51%. Di Semenanjung Malaysia, di mana terdapat lebih ramai pengundi Melayu, undi popular Pakatan Rakyat lebih tinggi, sebanyak 53%. Kerajaan Negeri Pulau Pinang mendesak Menteri Perdagangan Dalam Negeri dan Hal Ehwal Pengguna yang baru Datuk Hasan Malek untuk tidak mempertahankan kempen boikot berasaskan kaum dan bertindak terhadap organisasi perkauman ini. Dewan Perniagaan Melayu dan Cina telah menyatakan bahawa Kerajaan Persekutuan perlu masuk campur dengan segera untuk memberhentikan kempen yang disifatkan keduanya sebagai 'tidak sihat, kebudak-budakan dan perkauman' sebelum ia memberikan impak buruk kepada pertumbuhan ekonomi. Pertubuhan perkauman ini telah cukup membuat kerosakan bukan sahaja kepada perpaduan nasional tetapi juga imej negara. Dengan membenarkan boikot produk berasaskan perkauman ini berterusan, Malaysia akan dilihat sebagai tidak jauh beza berbanding rejim perkauman seperti rejim apartheid Afrika Selatan, malah turut membawa kesan negatif kepada ekonomi.
