PKR and DAP Johor shall refrain from making further public comments on seat negotiations.(en/cn)

Press Statement By DAP Secretary-General and MP for Bagan Lim Guan Eng, on 19th February 2013 in Kuala Lumpur.

I have communicated with PKR head Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim and both of us agree that PKR Johor Chair Datuk Seri Chua Jui Meng and DAP Johor State Committee Chairman Sdr. Dr. Boo Cheng Hau shall refrain from making further public comments on the relationship between the Johor state leaderships of DAP and PKR, especially on the contentious issue of seat negotiations.

Both state leaders shall also consult first with the respective top party leadership before making any public statements on seat allocations between both parties for the coming general elections.

The very visible public discord between both the Johor state leaderships of Parti Keadilan Rakyat and DAP have been exploited by all mainstream media, especially those controlled by BN. Such negative publicity is not desirable in the lead up to the general election and will only delight BN and disappoint PR supporters hoping for a real breakthrough in this BN fortress state.

The DAP central leadership appreciates the contribution of Sdr. Dr. Boo and acknowledges his frustrations on being dictated to, in the relationship between DAP and PKR in Johor. However such matters, no matter how unjust and frustrating, should not be expressed in the public domain unless all avenues for discussion internally between PKR and DAP have been exhausted.

As such discussions are still continuing, leaders, members and supporters of DAP, PKR and Pakatan Rakyat are advised to express their views through internal channels in order not to provide ammunition for our political opponents.

The party central leadership shall actively convey the sentiments and justification of DAP Johor in the final seat negotiations which will be ultimately decided by top leaders between PKR and DAP. The national seat negotiations among Pakatan Rakyat component parties are still ongoing and DAP is represented by a team led by National Deputy Chairman and Election Committee Chairman Sdr. Tan Kok Wai. Any disputed seats shall be addressed by top 3 leaders of PR.

民主行动党秘书长兼峇眼区国会议员林冠英于2013年2月19日在吉隆坡发表声明：

我已经与公正党领袖拿督斯里安华依布拉欣联络，我们两人同意公正党主席拿督蔡锐明及行动党柔佛州联委会主席巫程豪同志应该停止公开发表关于行动党与公正党柔佛州领袖的问题，特别是具争议性的议席谈判。

两党的州领袖应该在公开发表来届大选议席分配的言论前，征询党领袖。

柔佛州公正党及行动党的公开唱反调的情况已经被所有主流媒体利用，特别是国阵控制的媒体。在大选来临前，这种负面宣传实在要不得，这让仇者快、亲者痛，让国阵喝彩、让希望民联在国阵保垒取得突破的民联支持者失望。

行动党中委感激巫程豪同志的贡献及付出，并了解他在柔佛州行动党、公正党的关系处理上身不由己的处境，但是，无论情况多么地不公平及令人沮丧，他也不该在公众平台表达，除非公正党与行动党之间的内部沟通管道已彻底行不通。

由于讨论还在继续，两党及民联的领袖、党员及支持者受促通过内部管道表达他们的意见，不要让我们的政敌有机会攻击我们。

行动党中委也会积极地在议席谈判的最后阶段，传达柔佛州行动党的感受及理由, 最后决定则交由公正党及行动党最高领袖决定。民联成员党之间的全国议席谈判还在继续，行动党代表为全国署理主席兼选举委员会主席陈国伟。任何议席若有争议性，将由民联三党最高领袖定夺。
