11 KL MPs and Rubbish Incinerator Posted: 26 Aug 2013 07:03 AM PDT Today, Federal Territory Minister YB Tengku Adnan met 11 members of parliament from Kuala Lumpur (Taman Tun Razak MP was represented by an assistant) and 1 MP from Labuan. He showed professionalism.      We discussed many issues such as crimes, traffic congestion, rivers within Kuala Lumpur and public parks. Kuala Lumpur produces more than 3000 metric tonnes of rubbish or solid waste a day. We have to deal with this complicated issue.      On 18 June, 2013, Urban Well-being, Housing and Local Government Minister Datuk Abdul Rahman announced the project to build a modern incinerator to burn rubbish at Taman Beringin, Jinjang North, Kepong. In July, his deputy Datuk Halimah told the House that the Government would seek public opinion and how comfortable they were with the incinerator project.      YB Tengku Adnan proposes that Urban Well-being, Housing and Local Government and Federal Territory Ministry meet all KL MPs to find a solution to the incinerator project.
