More attention for raising the quality of teachers Posted: 19 Oct 2012 03:03 AM PDT According to Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin, it is time for the Government to double its efforts to train enough teachers of quality so that they can be sent to the rural areas and the interior. Malaysia has 410,000 teachers. Some are good and some are not so good. YAB Muhyiddin has admitted that there must be efforts such as special courses to make them better teachers. Naturally, it is complicated. All concerned must pay greater attention. For example, courses in teachers' training institutes must be improved, consistent with the modern world. The Government must review the effectiveness of the special courses for teachers who are in service. We need good teachers in urban and rural areas. |
