Kerana nila setitik, rosak susu sebelanga Posted: 05 Jun 2013 02:08 AM PDT Inspector held over convenience store robbery 05 June 2013 KANGAR: A police inspector was detained here on Monday for robbing a convenience store at a petrol station in Juru, Penang, on Saturday. The inspector, 29, attached to the Perlis police contingent headquarters, was detained by Seberang Prai Tengah police at Jalan Bukit Lagi here. He is believed to have gone to the store at 2.45am and demanded that the employee at the counter, a Bangladeshi, hand over the cash, amounting to RM1,500, and grabbed some 18 cigarette boxes of various brands before fleeing in a white Perodua Viva. The employee managed to take down the car registration number and a report was lodged on the same day by the owner of the petrol station at the Bukit Tengah police station in Penang. According to a source, the car was registered to a woman in Sabah. Perlis CID chief Superintendent Tengku Mohd Zailan Tengku Ahmad Shah confirmed the arrest. |
