Sdr John, Stephan, Wong dan penduduk-penduduk Desa Setapak

Saya merujuk kepada masalah pasar pagi di Desa Setapak.

Hari ini saya menghubungi Pengurus DBKL kawasan untuk mendapatkan maklum balas berkenaan masalah kacau ganggu disebabkan oleh aktiviti pasar pagi di Desa Setapak.

Saya dimaklumkan, Jabatan Penjaja DBKL sedang mengkaji aduan-aduan penduduk dimana kajian melibatkan statik dan jumlah peniaga-peniaga berlesen yang berniaga di kawasan tersebut. Selain daripada itu kawasan baru juga sedang diambil kira bagi memindahkan pasar pagi ini ke kawasan yang jauh dari kawasan kediaman.

Saya juga dimaklumkan bahawa tindakan penguatkuasaan berterusan juga dilakukan bagi mengawal kegiatan peniaga-peniaga tanpa lesen di kawasan berkenaan.

Pihak kami juga telah menulis surat rasmi kepada DBKL memohon supaya masalah pasar pagi ini diberikan perhatian serius oleh DBKL memandangkan masalah tersebut masih berterusan dan tindakan segera perlu diambil dengan memindahkan aktiviti-aktiviti pasar pagi ini ke kawasan yang lebih sesuai.

Dear YB Wee and En Yaacob,

On behalf of Diamond Residences Condo, I would like to thank you for the effort in successfully halting and suspending KP Property construction work until further notice and until a thorough investigation has been conducted on why KP Property were allowed to continue their construction work beyond 6pm and occasionally continued their construction work in the dark.

In this investigation, I think it is also worthwhile to submit all prior reports made to the DBKL helpdesk and the complaint letter issued on behalf of Diamond Residences Condo from your office to DBKL on how KP Property had gotten the approval to build their 288 and 222 Condo so near to the Diamond Residences Condo without a proper consultation with all the surrounding residence and without a proper DBKL K5 protest process conducted.

I previously stayed in a 2-storey terrace house in Taman Seri Melati and there was a common 8 feet back lane shared with my neighbors. With this KP Property 222 and 288 Condo which I was told are going to be at least 25 storey high, common sense tells me that the back lane separating both buildings (Diamond Residences, 222 and/or 288) should be at least 100 feet wide due to obviously various safety reasons during and after constructions.

I personally thank you again for successfully halted KP Property construction of the 222 and 288 project and we are eager to see the outcome of the investigation.

Thank you for speaking up for us. The government should seriously look into DBKL before it is too late, The public is fed up with their attitude. I now how frustrating it is to deal with DBKl officers.
