| YAB Muhyiddin & teacheers in English Posted: 26 Dec 2012 02:31 AM PST YAB Muhyiddin & teachers of English The current measure of YAB Muhyiddin to bring in 74 American teachers to teach American English in Malaysia & the proposal to let teachers from India to teach Indian English causes anxiety among Malaysians. We need good teachers to teach the subject. The Education Minister should let us know the true situation of the shortage these teachers and the practical solution. There are over 400,000 teachers in Malaysia. Some are dedicated. Some are not so good. In fact, one of the factors for the failure of the Teaching Of Science and Mathematics in English (PPSMI) was that some teachers were not able to teach these subjects in English. |
