I believe that a brave leader forgives for the sake of peace in the country. This depends on individual cases. This is a hallmark of magnanimity. After doing hard labour for 27 years on Robben Island, South Africa, Nelson Mandela has forgiven his former tormentors. This is a part of African culture. Mandela says: courageous people do not fear forgiving, for the sake of peace. ...Find a way to forgive without forgetting.  |
