Internationally recognized team to investigate the effects of cyanide-based mining in Bukit Koman‏

Before a factory such as the cyanide-based mining factory is set up,
there must be an Environment Impact assessment, EIA. Now, the people
of Raub are concerned about the Bukit Koman Gold Mining Factory. The
Government should set up an internationally-recognized team to
investigate the effects of cyanide-based processes on residents in the
surrounding areas and other demographically similar areas.

The attitude of Education Ministry towards vernacular schools

Suhakam says that the Education Ministry ignores the needs of vernacular schools. Education Minister YAB Tan Sri Muhyiddin maintains that it is fair. The number of primary Chinese school students is 21% of the total number of primary school students in the country. The successive Fifth Malaysia Plans allocate 2.4% to 3.6% development fund to Chinese schools compared with that of 95% to national schools.

PM YAB Najib thinks about per capita income & the people's well-being as being the two main criteria to measure the success of a country's development. There are many aspects. The reduction of irregularities such as corruption, bureaucracy & wastage of public fund can contribute to happiness.
